Robert Hudson is New Orleans most sought after Makeup Artist. His work has been seen in every local magazine and newspaper, as well as in Vogue, Women's Wear Daily, Spin and Atlanta Magazine. His work has also been seen on numerous local and national TV shows. Being able to draw from his years of experience makes Robert the "go-to" Artist for many projects -   TLC's "A Makeover Story" , Sheryl Crow's "Love is Free" video, Ne-Yo's video "Never Knew I Needed" and CNBC's "Squawk Box".  

Celebrity clients include Jennifer Coolidge, Yoko Ono, Al Green, Jason Lewis, Lauren Hutton, Dr. Ruth Westheimer, Lil Kim, Angela Lansbury, Harry Belafonte, Carl Quintanilla, Diane Ladd, Lorenzo Lamas, Carolina Herrera, John Goodman, Mary Tyler Moore, Marilyn McCoo, Brent Musberger, Jim Nance, Irma Thomas, Allen Touissant, Frankie Ford and Jean Knight .

 Robert has also made a name for himself in the Fashion world, working backstage at the Milan Couture Collections, New York Fashion Week and 6 seasons of Moda in Miami - Latin Fashion Week. He has seen his work walk down the runway on the million-dollar faces of Giselle Bundchen, Alec Wek, Trish Goff, Erin O'Connor, Ana Claudia and many, many more.

Working in the International Fashion arena made Robert determined to bring some of that style, innovation and glamour home to his beloved New Orleans. He returned to New Orleans in 2002, started Makeup by Robert Hudson on Metairie Road in 2004, closed the Saturday before Hurricane Katrina.

Robert Hudson Makeup Studio is not your typical Makeup Boutique, where you find hundreds of products for sale, but no one who can help you determine what is right for you. Unfortunately, anyone can call themselves a Makeup Artist. We all know better. Experience, artistic skills and teaching ability determine if someone is a true Makeup Artist.

We do not want to be a "self-serve" kind of place. Robert only sells products that he loves and uses. His favorite clients, though, are the ones he works with regularly. There are a lot of women in New Orleans who won't even buy a lipstick without Robert's advice.
